As a result, it lifts the paint off the material, leaving unsightly blisters on the surface of the roof. Once a blister pops, it exposes the material underneath, which will definitely accelerate the wear and tear of the roof. Keep in mind that as your roof gets older, your annual premium will also likely increase. A new roof, on the other hand, can help lower your rates because it makes your home safer.
